
Importance of diet is very much in keeping the body healthy
and without vices. Diet does not mean to go on consuming whatever became
available. Diet is only for the maintenance of body quality. Such diet in which
each quality/substance, vitamin and other necessary maintainable ingredients
are getting covered, is called as balance diet.
Yogasana practicing person should not consume diet in
awkward manner, but the diet should be taken with certain rules. Yoga
Practitioner should be moderate. Moderate does not mean to remain hungry, but
stomach is divided in four various divisions. Half portion of stomach with
solid and remaining quarter part be filled with water and remaining part be
kept vacant for movement of air. Such a message is given in many scripts. Thus,
the diet consumed with limitation gets digested easily without any difficulty.
Another important rule for diet is that it should be of good
quality. Means much chilly, very hot, very fried, much old, much acidic, very
cold and liquor, fish, meat, garlic, onions, etc. which are very stimulating
substances, such diet should not be included in the life of Yoga Practitioner,
because good thoughts do not emerge and continuously illicit thoughts arises in
mind by consuming such diet.

In the diet of Yoga Practitioner, inclusion of food is
considered best and should have good quality Basmati rice, wheat and Moong,
Chana and black beans with husk.

Squirting cucumber, (Karela), cucumber (Kakdi), tritos
cucunerinnas (Parvar), Began, Mula, Spinach (Palak Bhaji) and specially those
which are coming according to season, these are treated as best because
ingredients existing in such vegetables are of best quality, it provides anti
power to fight against diseases in the body.
Favourable/Suitable fruits for Yoga Practitioner:
Ripe and sweet fruits according to season such as orange,
mango, apple, banana, Mosambi, chikoo, pineapple are considered to be the best.
Thus, these many fruits are considered as most qualitative in the diet and
besides, maximum fiber is in such fruits, the constipation which is treated as
mother of the disease is removed right from its root.
The phrase mind is according to food is very ancient. The
type of food that we consume, our conduct and thoughts would remain as such. It
can be said from this that if qualitative food is consumed then good thoughts
can emerge and good thoughts are always active, it provides better effects too.
Thus, the diet is of utmost importance in the life of Yoga Practitioner and
better control is acquired from various Asana and mind also remains in own
control.
